In his submission to the workshop, Sujit Choudhry expressed what an honor it was for him to get the opportunity to discuss executive powers with such distinguished experts in the field of constitutional and democratic governance. He also noted that democracy in Ukraine had not yet attained full stability, singling out weak political parties, the concentration of the presidency power and the legislature electoral system as some of the hindrances to the achievement of a strong and stable democracy in the country. He, however, commended the increased involvement of transitional democracies in the constitutional decision making processes that had taken place in the country in recent years. He expressed his belief that it was important that current constitutional leaders be engaged to present different options in policy that may aid in the constitutional reform process. He also noted that the constitution-making process is one that has always been a matter of great interest among scholars, showing the importance of the process within which they were engaged.
