Sujit Choudhry has many years of experience when it comes to constitutional law and its applications for new countries. He has worked for over twenty years in the field of constitutional law. Sujit has published many articles and papers on the issues surrounding constitutional law and the challenges that a new country faces. In a recent article for ReleaseFact Sujit Choudhry discusses the challenges of building and implementing a new constitution in the country of Ukraine.
On July the tenth of this year Sujit Choudhry met with a group of highly influential individuals in the city of Kiev. The team of individuals discussed the form of government that Ukraine has and how to make it more beneficial to all of the citizens that live in Ukraine. This is not an easy task for the group and some difficult decisions must be made. The challenge that lies ahead for the group is a difficult one because some constitutions can fall apart within a year of being created and that would be a devastating blow not only to the people of Ukraine but for the region as a whole. All of the experts must take part in building a consensus for the new constitution. This is critical in the transition from violence to peace in the area. One way to make sure that the constitution has the best chance of survival is to form a think tank of all the major players in the country of Ukraine and hash out a constitution that works best for everyone involved.
